Thanks so much for this article, and your generosity, you saved me a lot of time for my semester work.

Worked perfectly today December 11, 2021.

There are few more steps I will suggest in case you run into same screens as mine, after finally installed, MacOS just to help others who wants to try.

From OP’s Step 7.

1. After select country – click continue,
2. Select your keyboard layout – click continue
3. How Do You Connect to Network – Select “My computer does not connect to the Internet” – Click continue
4. Your Mac Isn’t connected to the Internet, Ignore the error message – Click blue button “Continue”
5. Don’t transfer any information now – Click continue
6. Enable location services on this mac- leave it blank, don’t check it – Click continue
7. Terms and Conditions – Click Agree twice

It failed to load MacOS sierra after 3 restart. I’ve edited MacOS sierra.vmx file several times. Unfortunately, it still can’t show the login page. Please check screenshot and I don’t understand what issue causes it.

Thank you for your great post on macOS Sierra, it is important for me. I have already macOS Sierra .dmg file and I want to install it on VMware Workstation so how do I convert .dmg file to .iso with safe and working on VMware Workstation, Windows 10.

Works for me 10 sep 2020,
VMware workstation 15, booting on already created image, Im not installing the OS.
1. vmware workstatation installed
2. Patch vmware
3. create new vm as describe above
4. add existing disk
5. turn on
6. During boot for the first time we need to add new user.
7. install vmwaretools to get high resolution

all followed all the steps but when it comes to powering on the macos the vmware word infront of a black background appears then the apple logo but after a few seconds some words pop and at the end it says that macos not yet setup
