Hey,

I hid a user on my channel without wanting to delete his previous comments. When I unhid him in a couple of days, all of his comments were gone and I cannot find a way to restore them. I checked some threads on YT help center but found no direct answer whether this is at all possible. Would you know anything about that?

It would be kind of weird if those comments would be deleted/hidden forever, even if I decide to unhide the user. Otherwise, the function should be, it seems to me, explained more clearly, as I am not the only one running into similar issues. In addition, there are a lot of my replies to this particular user, that are now just ‘hanging in mid-air’, replying to nobody.

How can I hide my channel from someone if they have never left comments? I can find the Block User button on the user’s profile but not the Hide From channel Function. Thanks

Hi. I don’t have any vids to comment on.This person only subscribed to stalk me.The email I received from Youtube said “Channels who subscribe to you will be notified when you upload new videos or respond to others’ videos (by favoriting, commenting, rating, etc)”.My concern is about a “subscriber” tracking my Youtube activity, so is a “hidden user”still able to do that even after being blocked? Thanks

Can I block someone from my channel……NOT JUST block comments. I have several people who are copying titles to my videos, description information, my name and my website url and pasting it to their videos. Almost all are from overseas, not US. I would like to completely ban then from accessing my channel totally so they cannot do this. There are 18 of them, each with 1,000+ playlists (each playlist average 35 videos) all with my name etc on them.

Hi.I used the “From his/her channel”method you suggested & clicked the”Block user”option.But in “My community settings”It shows the persons icon & name in “Hidden users”with an X on it.What does that mean?Is that saying their blocked? Thanks
